Moon AI

How to ask Moon AI about markets and your positions, what it looks at, how a drafted order reaches your order form, and what it will never do.

Beginner5 min readUpdated

Moon AI is the AI trading assistant built into the NyxGo app. You ask it about a market in plain language, it looks up what’s happening right now, and it answers with numbers: levels, funding, risk and, if you want one, a plan. It can draft an order for you, but it can’t place one. Every trade is still yours to review and sign.

Opening Moon AI

Moon AI is on every page of the app:

  • click Moon AI in the header (on phones, the sparkle icon);
  • press Ctrl + . (⌘ + . on a Mac) from anywhere;
  • in the trading terminal, click Ask about next to a market’s stats for a quick read on it.

On a wide screen the panel docks beside the page, so the chart and order form stay usable. On a phone it opens as a sheet. Open Moon AI now.

Your first question

Start with something you’d normally check by hand:

  • “Give me a quick read on ETH.”
  • “Is funding expensive on my SOL long?”
  • “Where would a stop make sense on BTC?”
  • “Size a BTC long risking 1% of my equity.”
  • “Which markets have the highest funding?”

Short questions work. So do detailed ones. Follow-ups keep the context: “and on the 4h chart?”, “make it smaller” or “why that stop?” pick up where the conversation left off.

What Moon AI looks at

While it works, the panel shows each look-up as a small chip, such as Checked BTC, Read the BTC 1h chart or Read the community on BTC, so you can see what an answer rests on:

  • The market: live price, 24-hour change, volume, open interest, funding and maximum leverage.
  • The chart: trend, recent highs and lows, EMA20/50/200, RSI and ATR, from real candles.
  • The community: how traders on NyxGo lean on the market and the calls they made in the last day. Moon AI treats these as opinions, not signals.
  • Your account: when your wallet is connected, the app sends a snapshot of what it already shows you, with the figures rounded: positions, open orders, margin and liquidation prices. Moon AI uses it for that one answer and doesn’t store it.

It never makes up a number it could look up. If data isn’t available, it says so.

From a plan to an order

Ask for a setup (“set me up a BTC long”, “draft a stop for my ETH short”) and Moon AI can add an order draft under its answer: the market, side, size, entry, take profit and stop loss, with the distance to your stop and the reward against the risk.

Drafts can carry warnings worth a second look: no stop loss, more than 2% of your equity at risk, a lot of leverage in one order, or a reduce-only order with no position to reduce. A draft that your account couldn’t margin isn’t offered at all.

Click Load into order form and the draft fills the order form of that market. From there it’s an ordinary order: change anything you like, check the summary, and sign it yourself. Nothing is sent until you do.

What Moon AI won’t do

  • Trade or touch your funds. It holds no key. It can’t place, change or cancel orders, move money or withdraw.
  • Ask for your secrets. Moon AI will never ask for your recovery phrase or a private key. If you paste one by mistake, the app catches it before it’s sent. If you’ve shared one anywhere, move your funds to a new wallet straight away.
  • Send you anywhere. Answers never contain outside links, and Moon AI never asks you to visit a site, download anything, connect your wallet elsewhere or sign a message.
  • Leave its job. Moon AI sticks to trading on NyxGo, so questions outside that get a polite no. It also won’t help with anything that manipulates markets, like pump-and-dumps, spoofing or wash trading.
  • Promise results. It’s an AI that can be wrong, and nothing it says is financial advice.

Your conversations

Conversations are saved to your NyxGo account. Open the history from the Moon AI panel to pick one up again, or delete one or all of them at any time. Conversations you haven’t touched for 90 days are deleted automatically, and Download your data in Settings includes them.

Wallet addresses are removed from your messages before they’re sent or saved. Your questions only go to AI providers that neither store them nor train on them, and those providers never see your NyxGo account ID.

Free questions and AI credits

Your NyxGo account gets 10 free questions to Moon AI a day, reset at 00:00 UTC. If you want more, buy AI credits in the app. Packs are 250 questions for 5 USDC, 600 for 10 USDC, or 1,400 for 20 USDC, and the larger packs include more questions per USDC. One credit is one question, and each question uses your free ones first. A question that doesn’t get an answer, because of an error, because Moon AI is unavailable or because it declined an off-topic question, doesn’t use a credit.

You pay from your USDC on the exchange: sign the transfer to NyxGo once with your wallet (no gas), and the credits are added as soon as the exchange accepts it. Like any transfer on the exchange, the payment is public there with your wallet address. Credits expire 12 months after you buy them, can’t be transferred or cashed out, aren’t refundable except where the law requires, and are lost if you delete your NyxGo account. The Terms of Use have the details.

Good habits

  • Check the levels on the chart. Moon AI’s levels come from real candles, but a second look takes seconds.
  • Size against your account. Ask it to size a position by the risk you’re willing to take, not by how sure you feel.
  • Treat every plan as yours. Moon AI helps you think a trade through. Whether you take it, and how, is always your call.
