Trading with the community

How to share trade ideas with $cashtags, trade calls and bullish or bearish tags, follow traders, read their profiles and the leaderboard, and report posts that break the rules.

Beginner9 min readUpdated

NyxGo puts a trader community next to the trading terminal, so you can share an idea, see what others think about a market, and check the record of traders who share theirs without leaving the app. This guide covers how each part works and how to read it with a critical eye.

Set up your profile

You need to be signed in to post, reply, like, follow or report. Anyone can read the feed. Your profile is created the first time you sign in. To personalize it, open Settings from the account menu:

  • Handle: 3 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores. Your profile address uses it. Without a handle or display name, other people see a generic name such as “Trader 3F9A”, never your wallet address.
  • Display name and a bio of up to 280 characters. Your avatar is generated for your account, not from your wallet address.
  • Privacy: your trading performance stays private, and you stay off the leaderboard, unless you turn on Show my performance on my profile or Show me on the leaderboard. You can turn either off again at any time. Other traders never see your wallet address, and nobody can look up your profile by it.

Share trade ideas

Write posts from the composer at the top of the Community page. On a phone, the pencil button in the corner opens it. A post can be up to 2,000 characters.

Cashtags

Tag a market by writing its ticker with a dollar sign, such as $BTC or $ETH. As you type $, the composer suggests markets with their live price; use the arrow keys and Enter, or select one. In a post, each cashtag becomes a link to that market’s trade screen. NyxGo also indexes up to five cashtags per post, which is what makes the post show up when someone filters by that market:

  • On the trade screen, the $BTC ideas tab next to your positions (or the Ideas tab on a phone) lists recent posts that mention that market, under a bar showing how bullish or bearish the community has been on it over the last 24 hours.
  • On the Community page, you can filter the feed to one market.
  • A post’s own page includes a Markets in this post panel. For up to three of the tagged markets, it shows the live price, 24h change, 24h volume, hourly funding rate and a Trade button.

From the ideas tab, Share an idea opens the Community page with the market’s cashtag already in the composer.

Bullish or bearish

Below the composer you can tag a post as Bullish or Bearish. The tag appears as a badge on the post and as Long or Short on the idea cards on the trade screen. On its own, the tag records the author’s view. It isn’t linked to a position, so it doesn’t show whether the author is in the trade or how large it is.

Trade calls

To make an idea trackable, select Add trade call in the composer and set:

  • Market and direction: long or short. The call uses the first market tagged in your post unless you pick another one.
  • Target and stop (both optional): a long’s target must be above the current price and its stop below it; a short is the reverse. Both must be within ten times the current price. The composer shows how far each level is from the price and, with both set, the reward-to-risk ratio.

NyxGo records the entry price from the exchange at the moment you publish, so nobody can choose or backdate an entry. From then on, the call card on the post tracks it live: the current price, the move since posting (positive when the call is going the author’s way, so a falling short shows green) and, when levels are set, where the price sits between the stop and the target. At target now and Past stop now describe the current price only. The card doesn’t record whether a level was touched earlier.

A call is tagged bullish (long) or bearish (short) automatically. Its direction counts toward the community sentiment of the call’s own market, not of other coins mentioned in the post.

Position badges

When a call is published, NyxGo also reads the author’s position in that market on the exchange and shows the result under the call:

  • Was long when posted or Was short when posted: the author held a position in the direction of the call.
  • Held the opposite side when posted: the author’s position pointed the other way.
  • No position when posted: the account had no position in that market.

If the exchange couldn’t be read at that moment, no badge appears. A badge is a snapshot: it never shows the size of the position, and it doesn’t change if the author later closes or reverses it. Posting a call publishes the side of your own position in that market in the same way, so keep that in mind before you post.

Other signed-in traders can like and reply to your posts. Replies can be up to 1,000 characters and appear live on the post’s page. You can delete your own posts and replies at any time from the ⋯ menu on them.

Read and filter the feed

The Community page has three views:

  • Latest: the newest posts first.
  • Top: the most engaged posts over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Replies count twice as much as likes.
  • Following: posts from traders you follow, plus your own. This view appears once you’re signed in.

Select Calls above the feed to show only posts that carry a trade call.

To focus on one market, pick it from Trending on NyxGo · 24h, from Your markets, which lists the markets you have starred, or from the Movers · 24h panel. Trending lists the most discussed coins of the day, ranked by how many different traders posted about them, each with a bar showing how bullish or bearish those posts were. The feed then shows only posts about that coin, under a header with its live price, the community’s 24-hour sentiment and a button to trade it. With Calls selected as well, you see only calls on that market. The side panels also show the top traders of the past seven days and, once you’re signed in, traders you might want to follow.

Follow traders and check their record

Select a name or avatar on any post to open that trader’s profile. From there you can Follow them, or use Who to follow on the Community page. On a profile, the Calls tab lists only that trader’s trade calls, each with how it has moved since it was posted. You’ll get a notification when someone follows you, likes your post or replies to it.

A profile brings together:

  • Identity and social stats: handle, bio, follower and following counts, number of posts and join date.
  • Trading performance, when the trader chooses to share it: over 7, 30 or 90 days, with realized PnL after fees, win rate, volume, best and worst close, a chart of cumulative realized PnL by day, and the most-traded markets.
  • Your live account, on your own profile only: your account value and open positions. Only you can see it.

Other traders never see your wallet address, account value or open positions on your profile, and your trading performance is private unless you share it. Keep in mind that accounts on the exchange are public on-chain: anyone who already knows your wallet address can see its balances, positions and trade history there, outside NyxGo, and NyxGo can’t change that.

Leaderboards

The Leaderboard ranks traders by realized PnL after fees over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Next to each trader, it shows win rate, volume and number of fills. A few details help you read it correctly:

  • Only traders who choose to appear are ranked. Everyone else is left off, however they traded. You can join or leave from Settings at any time, and the leaderboard updates within about a minute.
  • Figures come from each trader’s perp fills on the exchange, counted from the time they first signed in to NyxGo. NyxGo syncs fills about once a minute.
  • Realized means closed. Open positions don’t count until they are closed, however large their unrealized profit or loss.
  • Win rate is the share of closing fills that realized a profit. A position closed in several pieces counts more than once.
  • Only accounts in good standing are ranked.

Posts from the ten best-ranked traders of the past seven days carry a #N this week badge.

Keep in mind: A leaderboard shows what happened, not what will happen. A top rank over one day can come from a single large, lucky trade taken at high leverage. Posts and rankings are opinions and records, not financial advice, and perps remain high risk however good someone’s record looks.

Reporting and moderation

If a post or reply looks like spam, a scam or abuse, open the ⋯ menu on it, choose Report, and pick a reason. To report a trader, use the ⋯ menu next to Follow on their profile. The reasons are:

  • Spam or advertising
  • Scam, phishing or pump & dump
  • Harassment or abuse
  • Misleading information
  • Something else

Moderators review every report. They can hide posts and replies and restrict accounts. A suspended account can still trade but can’t post, reply, like or follow. Posts from banned accounts no longer appear in feeds.

Be careful with anything that urges you to act fast, promises returns, or asks you to connect your wallet somewhere else or share your seed phrase. Never share your seed phrase or private keys with anyone.

Your data

Both options are in Settings:

  • Download your data gives you one JSON file with your account, sessions, trading history, community content and Moon AI conversations.
  • Delete account permanently deletes your NyxGo account: your profile, posts, replies, likes, follows, notifications, the reports you filed, your Moon AI conversations, your trading history on NyxGo and your sessions. Your agents stop, and the Agents key is revoked and destroyed; orders they already placed stay open on the exchange until they fill or you cancel them. NyxGo keeps the records of what your agents did for you (their settings, the limits you signed and the orders they placed). Deletion can’t be undone.

Deleting your account doesn’t touch your funds or positions on the exchange. They stay in your own account there, because NyxGo never holds them. If you sign in again with the same wallet, you start with a new, empty NyxGo account. Posts and replies you delete yourself leave public view at once and are permanently deleted after 30 days. For everything NyxGo keeps and for how long, see the Privacy Policy.

Key takeaways

  • Tag markets with $cashtags so your idea appears on that market’s trade screen and in its Community filter.
  • A bullish or bearish tag is an opinion. A trade call adds an entry price recorded by NyxGo and a badge showing the author’s position when they posted, not what they hold now.
  • Other traders never see your wallet address or positions on your profile. Your performance and a leaderboard spot are shown only if you choose to share them, and figures are realized PnL after fees from on-chain perp fills.
  • Top ranks and popular posts are not signals. Size every trade from your own plan.
  • Report spam, scams and abuse from the ⋯ menu on a post, reply or profile. Moderators review every report.
  • Download your data or delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it never touches your funds on the exchange.
